One of my favorite restaurants on Colley Avenue!
You always get a great meal with great service. The menu is huge and has something for everyone. The desserts are marvelous.
It can get busy, so there might be a wait at peak times. It's worth it! -

Random visit for lunch after work. Be conscious while driving because there's a lot of tight, one way streets. Parking lot on the back side of the restaurant.
Entryway was super small, but a big restaurant indeed! There's even a outdoor patio-like area. We were seated immediately & helped. Menu wasn't overwhelming, but definitely a lot of options. I ended up with the crab cake sandwich & it was pretty good! Not too firm & not too loose; it tasted so good with the aioli they serve in the restaurant. My fries were to a good crisp & the pickle was okay. Very filling, surprisingly couldn't even finish my fries! Waitress was nice. Heard the brunch was decent so maybe there's another visit in my near future. -

Part of being a foodie is going outside of your borders and trying something new. While in Norfolk visiting family, we tried this place.
We found it on Yelp. The reviews were pretty good. They are WELL DESERVED.
Our waitress was named Alexis. She was extremely polite, attentive, and professional. Thank you, Alexis!
Now to the food! Be warned... The portions are bigger than normal. Many restaurants serve more food to make up for mediocre flavor. Not at No Frills. The food was incredible. We had the seafood platter, grilled chicken pita, a fried chicken burrito and salad. It was all good. People say the fries are great. We tried them as well as the onion rings. Loved them! Their secret? Perfection in seasoning and cooking time. Same for the onion rings.
The ambience was eccentric in a great way. Not too loud, not too dark, not too bright... Just Right!
When I'm back this way, I will stop through. -

OMG... hahaha. I got delivery, it was about 25 minutes from restaurant to me and holy cow... wow...... I got the Spotswood burger and the pita quesadillas, absolutely amazing! (And that's delivery!) I've ordered different things the last 2 times and it is so so so good!!! Definitely stopping in because if it's that good with a 20-30 minute delay with delivery I can't imagine how good it is fresh!!!

Decided to come here while in town for lunch. Upon entering the establishment I was greeted right away and ask whether we wanted to eat inside or outside. We chose to sit on the outside but technically it's not outside more of a sunroom. It was a well ventilated area which was nice and cool but I swear it had a strong smell of pepper! Anyways I decided to go with buffalo shrimp sub w/ fries and I was extremely impressed. The shrimp was cooked perfectly which I find rare with fried shrimp and they were a decent size.My friend had the salmon shrimp & grits which we found the grits to have a lack of seasoning. Other than that the salmon shrimp and grits was pretty good and very filling. They do give you a decent size portion of whatever you ordered.
